Our Team
Our highly skilled team of Engineers and Drafters have over 35 years of experience; have in-depth understanding of key issues ranging from international design and construction practices to local authority approval processes. Joseph is the Director, a Chartered Structural Engineer (ECUK) with 28 years experience in the construction industry. Before the set up of this company, Joseph had been working as a senior engineer in several large engineering consulting firms, and chairing the major projects engineering design in Melbourne.
Our drafting team are pivotal to the success of JP Consulting Engineers by consistently producing clear and concise drawings to avoid confusion and errors on site. The practice uses traditional design methods, latest technology and design software in local market.

JP Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd is a Registered Professional Engineering company in Victoria. The company principal Joseph Liu was also registered in some of the leading engineering organizations in the world and practiced engineering overseas. In Australia, he is also registered on the National Professional Engineers Register, meaning that our design and certification is valid in all Australian States and Territories, as well as world-wide.

National Professional Engineers Register (NPER) is the main government body for the registration of professional engineers in Australia. It is widely recognised by Local Authorities and some State or Territory Governments, and it has been included in regulations relating to the design, certification, health and safety of buildings and building services. JP Consulting Engineers can provide NPER certification for a range of projects across Australia.
Fee Structure
Our fee structures are generally individually assessed according to the project. However larger commissions are based on a percentage, which include factors relating to the complexity of the work and taking account of repetitions etc.
Smaller commissions would be based on hourly rates respective to the staff employed. We have an open and flexible approach to fee levels and are always pleased to discuss any aspect of a project before being formally appointed.
